About Us
Lady be Good is an ensemble with a difference. Fronted by the Giocoso Saxophone Quartet, this all female 8 piece line-up of vocals, 4 saxes, piano, bass and drums can provide the sounds of the big bands through to pop classics for dancing.
Our repertoire covers 100 years of music, from Fats Waller and Gershwin through to Adele and Caro Emerald. If you prefer the rat pack sound, we are happy to invite one of our favourite male vocalists as guest singer.
Weddings
It’s your special day. You want the perfect music to suit you and all your loved ones – from the romantic first dance, to the nephews skidding on the floor and your favourite great aunt. We understand this can be a challenge, so we offer a range of music styles including jazz standards, swing classics, pop, 40s and more. Just let us know what works for you.
Fundraisers
Lady Be Good are committed to various good causes, and we’re always happy to discuss your ideas. Past events have included black tie dinners, through to a sponsored walk (in pouring rain) playing to the masses, with instruments protected by bin bags. We can perform for a heavily reduced fee depending on availability – see our FAQs page for more details.
Concerts
See us in concert, or even better – book us for your own! Lady Be Good love performing in theatres and concert halls to sell-out audiences. With our own vocalist Kate O’Malley singing all your favourite jazz standards, we often invite a guest performer to add that extra dimension. One thing’s for sure – you’ll never see us perform the same show twice.
